I didn’t register for china when I got married.

No plates, platters, or place settings for me.

Had I, I’d probably opt for simple banded china; white with a platinum band.

Instead, we registered for camping equipment and we use it all the time.

I still don’t own a lick of china.

Although, over the years, I’ve amassed a different sort of “fine china.”

Exquisite, hand-painted ceramics carefully crafted by my kids in paint-your-own pottery studios and art classes over the years. Far better than any old fuddy-duddy china they sell to brides in department stores.

Me? I have quite the collection.
